Technical Writer: Request for Letters of Interest

 

Deadline to submit: Thur, December 15, 2022


Thrive Alliance (Thrive) and Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits (SVCN) are looking to contract with a skilled technical writer to support with writing our joint regional nonprofit landscape report. 

 

Scope of Work:

  • Lead the technical writing process for landscape report reporting on Silicon Valley nonprofit demographics and survey trends, using data from Thrive and SVCN survey as well as other qualitative and quantitative data sources that will be provided

  • Work with Thrive and SVCN teams to frame reports and lead on crafting narrative on the state of nonprofits

  • Create tailored sections for San Mateo County and Santa Clara County specific data

  • Meet with Thrive and SVCN teams regularly for project management

We encourage proposals from BIPOC, immigrants, LBGTQ applicants, people with disabilities, and people with lived experience in poverty, or otherwise disadvantaged communities. 

     

Graphic Designer: Request for Letters of Interest

    Advocacy Series RFP

    Advocacy Training Curriculum Project Manager: Request for Letters of Interest

     

    Deadline to submit: Wed, December 21, 2022

     

    Thrive Alliance (Thrive) and Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits (SVCN) are seeking a part-time Project Manager (Independent Contractor) to coordinate our joint Advocacy Training Series. This series will support Thrive Alliance and SVCN in creating a regular advocacy curriculum to support nonprofits throughout Silicon Valley in becoming a community of change-makers and advocates by strengthening nonprofit staff advocacy and policy skills.

     

    This is a temporary independent contractor role with a potential timeline between one and two years. Estimated weekly time commitment may be as many as 10 hours per week, particularly in Year One. The project is anticipated to begin in January 2023.

     

    Scope of Work:

    • Coordinate between Thrive and SVCN staff, as well as stakeholders involved in curriculum development. We anticipate engaging with a number of other nonprofits to invite them to co-create input for curriculum development and to participate as curriculum faculty
    • Establish and strengthen the organization’s relationships with nonprofit policy and advocacy subject matter experts to facilitate training offerings
    • Research and vet existing training materials to support curriculum development
    • Support finalization of training content such as slide decks and scripts
