California Policy Forum: We Draw the Lines - What CA Nonprofits and Funders Need to Know About Redistricting

Every ten years, California adjusts the boundaries of political districts throughout the state to reflect new demographic shifts revealed by data from the Census. These decisions shape how our communities are represented, how our public officials are held accountable, and how well our democracy works for the people of California. Join California Policy Forum to learn about the redistricting process and timeline, ways redistricting affects our communities, and strategies for nonprofits and funders to get involved.

San Francisco Nonprofit Sustainability Initiative Acquisition Grant Application

Community Vision, in partnership with the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development, have announced that Acquisition Grant applications are now being accepted through the San Francisco Nonprofit Sustainability Initiative. This Acquisition Grant program is designed to help organizations maintain and expand essential services and resources for residents by providing critical financial support for the acquisition of newly nonprofit-owned space. Grants can be used to fund the lesser of 25% or $1 million in acquisition costs or an upfront payment on a long-term lease (55-year minimum), also known as “effective ownership”. In the current funding round, up to $2.5 million will be available for distribution. For more information or to apply click here.
Edgewood Center for Children and Families: Stay Healthy Generations Conference

Edgewood Center for Children and Families, in partnership with the Stanford Teen Health Van, will be hosting an event highlighting the importance of TAY-specific health and wellness by providing free COVID-19 and STI testing for persons ages 18 to 25 years. They will also be giving away several health related items such as first aid kits, hand warmers, weighted blankets, tablets, AirPod’s and more.
