Children & Education Thrive Action Group (TAG): Moving From Theoretical Policies to Action
Tues, June 14, 3:00 - 4:00 pm
During the Candidate Forum on Children's Issues in May, many interesting ideas were proposed. Let's discuss how some of these ideas would impact community-based organizations (CBOs) and youth in San Mateo County and reflect on what effective collaboration looks like between CBOs and the San Mateo County Office of Education.
Here are some questions to get us thinking:
How can we bridge the gap between thought and action?
What are the wins and challenges of past partnerships?
What does the ideal relationship between the County and CBOs look like?
In partnership with other community-based organizations, Thrive hosted a series of candidate forums designed to elevate the most pressing issues of nonprofits and their communities in San Mateo County. Watch our recordings of past forums and view the San Mateo County Sheriff pre-questionnaire and statements on our candidate forum webpage.
