Creating strong, impactful partnerships can be daunting, but it doesn't have to be. This session will guide you through cultivating a productive partnership mindset that elevates your organization's hook, conducting research to identify the most impactful introductions, and developing a robust plan to effectively engage with potential partners. Don't miss this opportunity to propel your nonprofit toward greater impact with successful collaboration!

Thrive Resource Room is a recurring virtual program, where you will stay informed about the latest Thrive developments, learn about free and affordable community resources to help your organization, and receive free and important trainings that will benefit your organization. These sessions also include an overview of Thrive member benefits and how to get more involved in our cross-sector network. If you have services or information that you would like to share at our next Thrive Resource Room meeting, please email Keirstan.

Environment & Sustainability TAG: Hot Topics, Cool Solutions - Community Resilience During Heatwaves

Tues, August 29, 2:00 - 3:30 pm, In-Person

Heat can have severe health implications, especially for vulnerable populations such as the elderly, young children, and those with pre-existing medical conditions. Come and learn what nonprofits and government resources currently exist to support community resilience and share your thoughts about what is most effective, and what you would like to see from both the community and the local government.

Berkeley Lab scientists have forecasted that by the end of the century, high heat events in the Bay Area could become up to six degrees warmer. How can we as a community come together to prepare for current high heat events and the even hotter future? Is what we are doing now adequate? Is it working to protect our most vulnerable?

Note: This event is free to attend, but registration is required. If you require any other forms of accessibility to fully participate in our event, please let us know, and we will make every effort to accommodate your needs. Contact Deyah El-Azhari.

Suicide Prevention Month is one of the best times of the year when we can honor those affected by suicide and inspire action to prevent suicide. To help spread this message of hope, you can share this flyer and email it to your clients/consumers, colleagues, friends, family, and community.

County Launches Series of Listening Sessions on Community Needs

The County is kicking off a countywide series of listening sessions to gather input on ways to address community needs in four priority areas. The series will be held in communities across the Peninsula where residents are encouraged to share their needs concerning children and families, housing and homelessness, emergency preparedness, and mental health. The results of the listening sessions and an online survey will directly inform County leaders as they prioritize funding from the Measure K sales tax, which provides local funds for local needs.
