Gateways for Growth: Community Engagement Partners
The County of San Mateo’s Office of Community Affairs’ Immigrant Services program is embarking on an exciting new endeavor and looking for partners along the way. San Mateo County was recently awarded a Gateways for Growth (G4G) grant, a nationwide competitive opportunity for localities to receive research support and technical assistance from New American Economy and Welcoming America to improve immigrant inclusion in our communities. The G4G grant will help advise and drive San Mateo County to develop a collaborative, multi-sector Immigrant Integration and Inclusion Strategic Plan. Did you know: making small changes incrementally to your diet is a simple and affordable way to make an impact in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and boost your health? Choose more fruits, veggies, whole grains, and legumes while moving meat and dairy products to the side, or off your plate entirely. Acterra will provide weekly themes, recipes, healthy tips, cooking demos, and even a buddy who can guide you through your questions, menu planning, and grocery lists, if you request support.
