Join us for an informal hands on conversation about current San Mateo County district lines, population changes, and how to get involved in the redistricting process and why you should care. This event will be co-hosted with Jim Lawrence, Chair of San Mateo County’s Redistricting Commission. This will be a space for the community and our nonprofit partners to come together to learn and have an honest conversation about where we are in the process. We look forward to seeing you there!

Voter Education and Outreach Advisory Committee (VEOAC) Meeting

Continuing the Discussion on Planning for Collective Climate Goals

In this meeting, we will continue our work on identifying issues impacting climate change and justice, and move onto the next step of developing specific themes on the collective climate goal areas. San Mateo County Collaborating During Disaster - Informational Meeting

As San Mateo County moves towards creating its own VOAD/COAD, (Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster, Community Organizations Active in Disaster), SFCARD, Thrive Alliance, Red Cross Northern California Coastal Region, Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, and San Mateo County Department of Emergency Management invite you to discuss how San Mateo County Community Based Organizations, Faith Based Organizations and Government can better coordinate during disasters. We will discuss what a VOAD/COAD is, how it can work in our County, and how it will benefit San Mateo County’s disaster response.
We will be joined by special guest Marsha Hovey, Interim Executive Director of CADRE (Collaborating Agencies’ Disaster Relief Effort), Santa Clara County's VOAD/COAD, to talk about our neighboring county's experience.

League of Women Voters: Sea Level Rise, Erosion, and Flooding on the San Mateo County Pacific Coastline

The Leagues of Women Voters of North & Central San Mateo and South San Mateo County are pleased to host the sixth online forum in their series of discussions on Building Resiliency for a Changing Climate in partnership with OneShoreline. Public participation is encouraged to discuss how sea-level rise, erosion, and flooding will affect the San Mateo County coastline including Pacifica, Half Moon Bay, Pescadero, La Honda and other communities. Climate change will affect residents, businesses, community services, and infrastructure we all rely on for healthy and safe communities.

Art Guild of Pacifica's 63rd Annual Members Show & 62nd Annual Awards Exhibit

Sanchez Art Center is proud to host the Art Guild of Pacifica’s 63rd Annual Members Show and 62nd Annual Awards Exhibit. The 63rd Annual will fill both the East and West Galleries, and the Main Gallery will display works by 2020 exhibition award winners Misha Flores, Tanya Lin, and Sheldon Yee. Bring your smartphone or tablet to fully experience Lin’s photographs with augmented reality (AR).
A reception will be held on Fri, October 29, 7:00 – 9:00 pm (health protocol permitting at the time), with music by Vivace with Carl Herder, Rob Hughes, and Alan Lee.
