Please join Thrive Alliance for our sixth annual Holiday Mix & Mingle, a fun-filled celebration for the whole Thrive community to connect, share some holiday cheer, and enjoy lunch and live jazz music. We are thrilled to be hosting this year’s event at member organization AbilityPath's new outdoor space. You’ll also walk away with a goodie bag of the Thrive team’s famous homemade holiday cookies!
We will also take this time to honor and thank two close friends of Thrive: Bart Charlow, who is retiring as CEO of Samaritan House after an impactful eight years of fighting poverty, and who has served on Thrive’s Policy & Advocacy Steering Committee since day one; and Jan Masaoka, who is closing her chapter as CEO of CalNonprofits, after more than a decade of service strengthening California's nonprofits. You can read more about Bart's impact at Samaritan House here, and learn about Jan's successes at CalNonprofits here. Join us as we thank them for all they have done for our local community and sector!
Note: This event will be outside. Dress warmly! This venue has approximately 40 parking spaces, so we recommend carpooling or taking public transportation. Additional parking options will be sent prior to the event.
Cost: This event is free for Thrive members and San Mateo County Legislative Aides and $50 for non-members. Please select your membership status below. If you would like to sign up to become a Thrive member and join our expansive and growing cross-sector network, you can find more information and sign up here. If you are unsure if your organization's membership is current or have other questions regarding membership, please contact Keirstan Schiedeck, Programs and Operations Manager.
This year, Thrive Alliance and Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits (SVCN) are joining resources to assess nonprofit needs and priorities on a regional basis. Our plan is to use your input from the 2023 Regional Nonprofit Priorities Survey to set each of our organizations' calendar year priorities.
Additionally, we will be publishing a joint report about the current nonprofit landscape across Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. The report will be grounded in tax data and enhanced by your survey data. That's why we need to hear from a wide swath of Silicon Valley nonprofit staff, executives, and board members!
You are the experts in what nonprofits need as we support the creation of thriving and equitable communities. Please pass this survey on to your nonprofit colleagues and friends.
Note: The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete. Santa Clara County-based and San Mateo County-based nonprofit respondents who complete this survey by November 30, 2022, will receive a $5 Target Gift Card (must provide name, organization, and email to redeem).
Looking for office space or other nonprofits interested in sharing a location? Contact Thrive and we will help to facilitate a connection.

County Launches Effort to Expand Parks Access
The Board of Supervisors voted to provide an annual County Parks pass to individuals and families with low incomes.
