Nonprofit EDs and CEOs are invited to hear Shireen Malekafzali (she/her), Chief Equity Officer at San Mateo County, present the equity framework and early equity efforts underway, and to give feedback on its alignment with your own equity frameworks. This is an opportunity to set the groundwork for nonprofit leaders to work together with the County on future efforts to advance equity.

San Bruno Community Foundation: Community Grants Fund

The San Bruno Community Foundation is now accepting applications for their Community Grants Fund. This responsive grantmaking program allows local community groups to apply for grants of up to $25,000 to support new or existing programs that benefit the San Bruno community. Such programs may include, but are not limited to, racial equity and social justice programs as well as programs addressing community needs related to COVID-19. Housing Leadership Council (HLC): Call for Workshop Proposals

Housing Leadership Council (HLC) invites you to be part of this year’s virtual Housing Leadership Day event as a workshop convener. HLC is looking for strong workshop proposals that focus on the following:
View housing through the lens of racial and social equity and as a solution to our public health crisis
Highlight San Mateo leadership, innovation, or excellence
Have a diverse panel (racial, gender, organizational level, geographic, etc)
Include a variety of organizations that represent a strong cross-section of the affordable housing field and/or key cross-sector coalitions and grassroots leadership.
Provide attendees with a connection to local solutions for San Mateo County (ie: case studies, best practices, and actionable next steps)

Peninsula Clean Energy: Heat Pump Water Heater Rebates
Peninsula Clean Energy has big rebates for electric heat pump water heaters! If you live in San Mateo County, you could be eligible for $2,500 or more if you replace your gas water heater with a heat pump water heater. If you are a CARE/FERA customer, or if you are upgrading your electrical panel, you could be eligible for even bigger rebates. Why switch?
