Join us for a comprehensive training, led by Maríluisa Diaz, Manager of Community Education & Outreach at CORA (Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse) on the dynamics of Domestic Violence (DV) and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV). This interactive session will delve into crucial topics such as DV statistics, family court restraining orders, red flags, barriers to leaving an abusive relationship, cultural humility, role-play scenarios, and supporting those experiencing IPV.
By attending this workshop, you will gain a deeper understanding of the intricate layers of stressors survivors face and develop skills to support them through a trauma-informed lens. We will also explore the emerging threat of tech-enabled abuse, shedding light on its various components and providing insights on how to navigate the ever-evolving world of technology.

County of San Mateo: A Lift for Life After Foster Care
In a unanimous vote, San Mateo County supervisors have agreed to provide current and former foster youth ages 18 up to 22 with $1,000 a month in the County’s first guaranteed income program. About 70 eligible young adults will receive a direct deposit for up to 18 months. To learn more click here.
County of San Mateo: Supervisors Award Nearly $1 Million to Help Local Businesses Through Construction Project
The County will soon start taking applications for a grant fund for small businesses along Middlefield Road in North Fair Oaks that are struggling financially due to a road improvement project delayed by record winter rains and other challenges. San Mateo County Supervisors have voted to direct nearly $1 million to the Middlefield Road Small Business Assistance Program. Eligible businesses may apply for grants totaling up to $10,000 to help make payroll, pay rent and keep the doors open during a project that promises significant benefits but has taken longer than expected.
