Community Partnerships and Strategic Communications: Invitation for BID Extension

The Department of General Services (DGS) has extended the Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the State of California Community Outreach and Education Services Master Service Agreement (MSA) until July 1, 2024, at 2 pm. This agreement was developed in collaboration with the Office of Community Partnerships and Strategic Communications (OCPSC). Its aim is to create a list of pre-approved community-based nonprofits that California state and local governmental agencies can contract with for outreach and engagement projects. The MSA, the first of its kind for the state, seeks to streamline the contracting process for both the state and nonprofits. All interested community-based nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status are encouraged to submit a bid.

Family Justice Center Survey

In an effort to establish a Family Justice Center (FJC) in San Mateo County, Supervisor Corzo, County Executive Callagy, DA Wagstaffe, and the Domestic Violence Council (DVC) have joined forces to develop a Strategic Plan. The County's Executive Office has contracted with the Family Justice Center Alliance to conduct an in-person study tour on July 11th and 12th to understand the available services for survivors of domestic violence, child abuse, and trafficking in the county. All nonprofits providing services related to domestic violence, child abuse, and/or trafficking are encouraged to participate. Additionally, any nonprofits that may encounter domestic violence, child abuse, and/or trafficking situations, even if it is not their primary mission, are also included. The goal is to create a draft Strategic Plan for the FJC's development, which will be presented to the County and its partners in October.
